Natural History Museum, London
What’s better than discovering the history of the world in a day? How about if it was free?
Yes, The Natural History Museum is a completely free museum in London, (although certain areas of the museum require a small fee).
It has a wide variety of different exhibitions and galleries – everything from whales & dinosaurs, to wildlife, to the earth’s ecology! There is something to keep the whole family amused for hours on end.
The Museum also has a range of interactive activities throughout the museum that everyone can get involved in, and your little ones will love.
Sherwood Forest Country Park, Nottingham
Going out and about around the UK would not be complete without a trip to Sherwood Forest Country Park in Nottingham. It is home to some of the oldest trees in Europe, including the world-famous major oak, estimated to have been around for over 800 years!
Walk around the beautiful forest, and witness some of its very own nature, including insects, birds and bats! The forest also has plans to open its own ‘Discover Robin Hood’ attraction, which will be the only attraction dedicated to Robin Hood in Europe – There could really be no better place for it!

The Winter Garden, Sheffield
This garden is one of the largest temperature glasshouses in the UK. It is situated at the heart of the city, and is a beautiful place for residents and visitors to the city to walk through to reach the city centre.
The glasshouse itself has around 2,500 plants, collected from all over the world. Stretching over 70 metres long, and 22 meters high, the glasshouse is big enough to home over 5,000 domestic glasshouses!
Open all year round, The Winter Garden is a must if you and your family want to see beautiful nature, at the heart busy city.
Or simply sit and relax in the Bessemer Gallery located within the glasshouse, and enjoy the garden from the comfort of your seat.
